Caring for God’s Earth – Recycle
Eco Church
You will already know that we are all getting food recycling caddies shortly, so that we can recycle all our food waste from 3rd October. For those of us with compost bins or wormeries, the new Broadland District Council service is still useful, in that it will allow the recycling of meat, fish and dairy products which until now have had to go into the rubbish bin. Please make use of this service as it will reduce considerably the amount of greenhouse gases produced from our waste food. It got me thinking about what else we could recycle. Reepham Lions are collecting used tablet bubble packs for recycling and it is possible to recycle plastic toothbrushes. What could we as a church collect for recycling? The items would have to be small, so as not to create storage problems, and we would need to know where to take the items collected. Any ideas please to Rachel rachel.42rr@btinternet.com.
